TAKING ON THE UNIVERSE

TAKING ON THE UNIVERSE
After a death in the family I started to listen to all manner of positive thinking material including subliminal recordings to try and get my life back on a even keel. I was not ready for everything that followed. By trying to follow a dream or passion it seems I set in motion all kinds of things that I was unprepared for. By just vizualising where we want to go in life the universe brings that to us in the most convenient form and means a lot of twists and turns that we would say is not what we wished for.
I had an idea to try and make money from the internet and embarked on a course for just that thing. I did not want it to be all time consuming and spiral with costs. It turned out to be everything that I feared it would be. Perhaps my thinking was wrong but I’d given up work to make a go of it and found myself very out of pocket. Then I realized that I had manifested this experience. The pain comes with it to test our resolve.
I may not be making money from the internet but I have learned some valuable skills from the experience that might come in handy in the future. If I can take the positive from the experience then perhaps my inner self will think on things differently and I will manifest better things to come.
My point is that it is not easy so don’t give up. I read this blog and sometimes wonder why all this advice does not seem to apply to me. Now I believe it does it’s just taking time to absorb it and change my thinking.
New opportunity for work has presented itself and although it may not be what my original visualization was, it is most likely for the better for my journey.
This is not a success story but I hope it does encourage someone who is struggling with their life to realize there are others in the same struggle

5 Traits That Reveal You're Destined For Success

Do you often feel unhappy and frustrated because you're not where you want to be in life, even though you're making an effort to progress towards your goals?

The truth is, we are often our own worst critics as sometimes we think our success or progress is too small to be acknowledged or celebrated.

But chances are we may have accomplished much more than we really think!

Even though success has a different meaning for everyone, there are some commonalities that will help you identify that you're on the right path to success.

Below are 5 traits that prove you're destined for success. If you already possess them - awesome! If not, why not try adopting them into your life this week? :)

Trait 1. You're clear on what's most important to you.

You know exactly what you want in life and you're not afraid to go after it. You have set yourself immediate goals and you're constantly making an effort to work towards them. You're not afraid of failure, as you consider this your greatest teacher.

Trait 2. You enjoy the present moment.

You've realized that you only have one life to live and you embrace it fully. Even though you're always looking to learn and improve yourself, you're grateful for the things that you have and where you stand in your life right NOW.

Trait 3. You know your worth.

Time and past experiences have taught you that loving yourself, saying 'no' when you mean no and putting yourself first, is not about being selfish, but rather being self-aware. You acknowledge the gifts and qualities you were born with and you continually work to develop them without comparing yourself with others.

Trait 4. You work on yourself first before judging others.

You know how easy it can be to judge other people without looking at yourself first. That's why you stop to ask yourself, 'what makes me feel so strongly about this situation?' You respect other people's opinions and the way they choose to live. You make an extra effort to understand others and accept them for who they are.

Trait 5. You have great relationships in your life.

All of the amazing friendships and relationships you have in your life are a reflection of your capacity to love and all the qualities that make you unique and wonderful. Not everyone is as blessed as you are, so never forget to celebrate that!

Hopefully you can see there are many amazing things that you've created in your life, some of which you may even be taking for granted. So the next time you need some motivation or you feel weighed down by the frustration of not having accomplished your main goals in life, go through this list and be thankful for where you are today!

Also, remember that success is not a skill, but an attitude that is learned through what you do every day. So keep your vibration high and your outlook positive :)

What is Success?

Someone one asked me what it took to be successful, this is a difficult question because it all depends on what you actually mean by success, you could be referring to success being an expression of your life in the terms of an external goal which could be for example; the attainment of higher social status, achievement of a goal, an academic achievement or even just a promotion at work.

Those of you with an away from mentality you may also define your success as not being a failure, not being poor, or not having to do menial work.

Whatever you drive either towards something or away from something perhaps one of the important factors is not the definition, instead it is the traits that you need in your character to actually achieve whatever the goal is that you have set yourself.

But before you start on your journey with the traits that you need, perhaps take a step back and really think about where you really want to go in life, because I would like to think that success is instead about being able to make time in your life to do the small intangible things that make all of the difference.

When you look back on your life it’s these small moment that you will remember, that make you feel happy and what gives your life real value.

To get this point across perhaps read The Story of the Mexican Fisherman which may well add a different perspective to the term success especially if you are only trying to measure it with external or materialistic goals.

Success in my eyes is about the journey, it is about the challenges on the way, it’s about where you have come from, and it’s about what you can’t measure that gives your life real value, success is about picking yourself back up and learning from failure and it’s about doing your best and doing it in the right way and in the words of Dale Carnegie;

Success is getting what you want, Happiness is wanting what you get.

There may be a time when the price of success takes away some of the things that are really valuable in your life, so my final advice to you is to concentrate on giving your life real value and depth and not to just strive for the shallowness of success at all cost measured by materialistic goals.
