GIVE AND YE SHALL RECEIVE

I was listening to some recordings of the legendary Bob Proctor and he says if you can dedicate a few minutes a day consistently to study then that will help you towards your goals.
In truth you can become successful in a second. That’s right! When you decide where you are going and where you find yourself now. Once you know that you will be successful.
Today let’s talk about the concept of the universal laws of life. You see there are a set of natural laws that govern all of us in life and if you can get your head around that you can begin to study these laws. Well today let’s talk about receiving because some people are not good about receiving at all. They become embarrassed or even offhand. Are you ready to receive everything you desire?
You know even when looking at the Bible (Luke 6.38) Paul says ‘Give and it shall be given to you in good measure running over’. So, giving and receiving go together, something that a lot of people seem to get confused with.
There are certain laws that apply to us. Whether you want to call it from the Universe or the omnipotent god there are certain laws that are in effect.
Leyland Val Van de Wall was a mentor to Bob Proctor who is one of the great leaders in personal development and he told him that we must be willing to give and graciously receive. If we understand this law we can tap into the supply of the universe which is infinite. There are no limitations or lack and we need to dispense with that kind of thinking. That way we can tap into this law and receive more than we need.
If we can give over our service and receive with gratitude (which is another law we neglect but need to understand) we can have anything we want. Thought is the most powerful tool if we can get it right and live by the universal laws.
Man is the highest form of creation on the planet because we can create the world we want by our own thoughts. Let’s face it we can make a heaven out of hell or a hell out of heaver depending on the way we look at things. A friend of mine Drew Ryder always says to me ‘If you change the way you look at things the things you look at change’ which certainly demonstrates that if we get it right our world changes around us.
So, are you ready to receive? You can have everything but you have to be ready to receive it with gratitude. Learn to Give and Graciously Receive.
Ponder on that
Rick

SUCCESS IN ONE, TWO 333

I don’t think a single week goes by that I don’t meet someone, somewhere, who comes up to me and says — usually with a big grin on their face — ‘333!’ When they do, I know exactly what they’re talking about. And a grin spreads across my face too.

The 333 story is one that has gained great notoriety over the years. I first shared in my book You Were Born Rich. In a nutshell, it’s the story of how, years ago, a businessman named Bob Templeton was able to raise $3 million for a town in Ontario that had been devastated by a tornado, in just three hours, only three days after the terrible event occurred.

The way he managed this was actually quite simple. And it’s something you can apply in your own life right now.

Bob accomplished his amazing feat of charity by assembling his entire team in a room, explaining his plan, which he dubbed ‘333’, and then soliciting the group’s thoughts on the idea.

To do that, he drew a ‘T’ on a flip chart. On the top left side, he wrote “Why we can’t”. On the right, he wrote, “How we can”. He then proceeded to draw an X through the entire left hand column. He wasn’t interested in the ‘can’ts’, and he didn’t want anyone else focusing on them.

People were, however, allowed to voice their doubts and objections (and did they ever – a lot of them thought his 333 idea was crazy at first.) But every time a negative was raised, rather than dwelling on it or dissecting it, the rest of the group would simply say “Next!” The process would then move on until a positive idea was raised. When one was, it was written down.

What Bob was working with here was one of those incredible universal laws: the Law of Polarity. This law is a fascinating one. It states that everything must have its opposite. If there’s an up, there has to be a down. If there’s a right, there’s a wrong.

And if there’s a ‘can’t’, there is also, ALWAYS, a ‘can’.

Through that process, Bob assembled a collection of excellent ideas that were immediately executed by his team over the following three business days. And sure enough, within three hours of launching the campaign, they had reached their $3 million goal. A town that desperately needed help received it, and ‘333-ing’ was born!

You can do this same thing with any one of your goals, exactly the way Bob did.

Try this today:

Pick the thing you most want to accomplish right now, but that you feel is the furthest out of reach for you. Grab a piece of paper and a pen, and make two columns: “Why I Can’t” on the left, and “How I Can” on the right. Do just as Bob did: draw a big X through that left hand column.

Then start thinking, and start writing.

Remember, there is a universal law governing this process. If you come up with a ‘can’t’ then you HAVE to be able to identify an opposite — a ‘can’. It must exist! That doesn’t mean it will immediately appear. But it’s out there. So acknowledge each ‘can’t’ with a firm “Next!”, then move along.

At first, the ‘can’ts’ may come in a flood, the ‘cans’ in a trickle. But keep pushing on, and you’ll soon find the reasons why you CAN achieve your goal flowing fast and furious, drowning out all the reasons why you can’t. When you’re done, you’ll have a plan of action right there in your hands. A roadmap to the goal you started with.

Try this exercise just once, and you’ll use it again and again in all kinds of situations to blast through obstacles and doubts. It’s exhilarating and extremely powerful — just like you!

BELIEVE AND SUCCEED

BELIEVE AND SUCCEED

You will agree; I am sure, that all thinking people have a sincere desire to succeed.

You want to win; I want to win. No one sets out to deliberately destroy themselves – although I must admit, at times it certainly appears as if some people do.

If everyone wants to win – why don’t they?

After more than 50 years in this industry and coaching thousands of people, I have come to the conclusion that the answer to success is locked up in a seven letter word – “Believe.”

Losers do not believe they can win. Why don’t they believe?

If you are having difficulty making something big happen in your life, read closely.

All the great religious leaders, philosophers and self-help gurus have told us to believe and succeed. “All things are possible for those who believe.”

William James said, “Believe, and your belief will create the fact.”

I have found that our belief system is based on our evaluation of something. Frequently when we re-evaluate a situation our belief about that situation will change.

Half of my life was wasted. I never even tried to accomplish anything of importance because I did not believe in myself. The truth was I knew very little about me. When I was encouraged to begin studying and re-evaluating my beliefs. I began to gain an understanding of my marvelous mind. Every day I learned a little more, and with that knowledge came faith and belief in myself. You see … I learned to believe I could win.

Re-evaluate yourself. There is a sleeping giant in you. Release it.

Believe in yourself.

Who is Bob Proctor?

Few people have had the kind of impact in the self-help field as Bob Proctor – a consultant, author, lecturer, and motivational speaker who has been at the forefront of personal development for decades.

As a student of classic concepts in books by Napoleon Hill and Early Nightingale, Bob Proctor has developed strategies for almost every aspect of modern life – allowing men and women of diverse backgrounds to succeed where previously they could not.

Early Life

Bob Proctor’s life didn’t start the way you might imagine. Born in Ontario, Canada, by the time Bob was 26 years old he was a high school dropout, had rattled around from one dead end job to another and had little or no prospects for success in his life.

Eventually, a friend of Bob’s handed him Think and Grow Rich, the classic self-help tome from Napoleon Hill that at that point had already helped hundreds of thousands of readers. Bob’s life took off from there and he never turned back.

He started a company that same year and was working in multiple countries in less than 12 months, offering office cleaning services. But, he wanted more information and so he joined the Nightingale-Conant organization and learned directly from one of the foremost personal development experts in the nation, Earl Nightingale.

Despite achieving a high ranking position in the organization, Proctor eventually decided it was time to take his ideas directly to the public. So, in the mid-1970s he started offering motivational speeches and seminars of his own, motivating business people around the United States and Canada to perform in ways they have never realized were possible.

Bob Proctor’s Motivational Personality

From the moment Bob shared his knowledge in that first seminar, he became a legend in the industry –a man who could fill anyone who listened to him with the confidence to succeed at anything they attempted.

He has used his special gift to provide motivation to thousands in seminars and live lectures and authored classic books like You Were Born Rich and Mission in Commission among many others.

In recent years, Bob’s popularity has grown even more dramatically due to his input on The Secret – one of the most successful self-help tools released in the last twenty years. As one of its biggest supporters and a contributor for both the book and DVD, Bob teaches the Secret to his students today and is one of the world’s biggest Law of Attraction experts.

Since 1973 when Bob Proctor founded his first company, he has been a fixture in the self-help community, offering millions of men and women direction in a chaotic world. By teaching people how to tap into the confidence and creativity they carry inside them every day of their lives, Bob has struck a nerve in a way that few people ever can.

This is more than just another teacher – it is a man whose contributions have made him a living legend and an important addition to anyone’s learning.

The Difference Between Dreams and Reality?

By Bob Proctor

Here is an interesting concept that I have used ever since I can remember and that I have shared in my seminars for years. If you're interested in setting a sizeable goal, I know it will help you too!

I want to talk about Fantasy, Theory, Fact. The basis for this concept is that everything has its origination in the form of a Fantasy, which some adventurous soul dares turn into a theory and then becomes bold enough to turn into a fact. This entire transition, of course, is the result of the highest form of no-limit, positive thinking available, yet, the cautious may construe this as erratic behavior.

Give this serious thought for a moment. The idea of moon landings, communicating via a fax machine, traveling on supersonic jets or wearing synthetic garments was, a very short time ago, sheer fantasy. Today, they are almost considered commonplace. Why? How did these things come about?

Fantasy
This entire cosmos is filled with thought stuff - a creative form of energy. Imagination is one of our mental faculties and it is the one we use to fantasize. An active imagination is able to build clear and vivid images. The most important step in building your fantasy is that you not concern yourself with how your fantasy is going to become a reality. Where the resources will come from is of absolutely no concern to you. Let the image evolve freely in your mind. Build the picture in color ... feel it, smell it, taste it, touch it ... all through the aid of your imagination.

Theory
Once you've built your fantasy, turning it into a theory calls for you to answer two questions: Are You Able? Are You Willing?

You could very easily be thinking, "Yes. But!" At this point, it's important to remember that you are stepping out of your comfort zone and attempting to go beyond the limits that your old belief system dictate... and whenever that happens, doubt, immediately followed by fear, enters the picture. To be able to answer this question in the affirmative--"Yes, I am definitely able," does not mean that you have to know how it will happen. There is no way that you could know how it will happen...you have never done it before, it's a brand new experience. The Wright Brothers didn't know how to fly when they fantasized themselves doing it! They just believed they could.

The second question: Are you willing? Are you willing to pay the price? Are you willing to make the sacrifices that will be required to turn your dream into a reality? And you know that there will be sacrifices. My mentor, Val Van De Wall shared with me that most people think sacrifice is giving up something. That's not true. Sacrifice is merely releasing something of a lower nature to make room for something of a higher nature.

The minute you answer--"Yes, I am able!" and "Yes, I am willing!" ... your fantasy moves to the next phase of creation and becomes a theory in your consciousness and, at this point, it turns into a goal.

Fact
The process of turning your fantasy to fact is ready to move into the final stage ... fact. From this point on, it becomes a lawful process. As you turn the image over to your universal subconscious mind by getting emotionally involved with the image, the laws of the universe kick into gear and begin to turn that image into physical form.

The law of perpetual transmutation takes that image and begins to move it into form with and through you. Your vibration starts to change and that causes your behavior to change. Your new vibration sets up an attractive force and begins to attract to you all things requisite to the fulfillment of the picture, through the harmonious vibration of the law of attraction. Although you have no way of knowing exactly how it will move into form, faith and your understanding of the laws will create a knowing within you that it must move into form.

This is the very process that has taken us out of the cave and into the condominium. Let your mind play. Fantasize a much better form of life than you presently enjoy.

To your success,
Bob Proctor

In Times Of strife Or Uncertainty, It Is Easy To Beat Yourself Up

In times of strife or uncertainty, it is easy to beat yourself up – to think you’re not good enough. It is even easier to forget that despite all of our differences we are born with one very important thing is common: potential – and lots of it. What seems difficult, at times, is remembering this potential for greatness lies within us all. So I have compiled a short, easy to-do list with words of inspiration from great thinkers who have recognized their potential as a reminder and an inspiration, for those who have forgotten amidst the daily bump and grind, how to realize their power within:

#1. Reflect on your life.

The first step is committing to 20-30 minutes of quiet Reflection everyday. You don’t have to sit still, close your eyes, and meditate. But you do have to get away from all the distractions in your life such as the television, cell phones, email, radio, family, friends, coworkers, school mates, etc. They’re constantly clouding your thoughts and influencing your decisions.

So take a walk, ride a bike, turn the radio off while commuting to work, sit on your back porch, lie in the grass, go to bed a little early. Whatever works for you.

Now, open up your mind and just Think, Analyze, Consider, Ponder, Contemplate, Imagine, Visualize, and Dream. Think about your past, your present, and your future. Ask yourself questions like…What am I capable of? What are my strengths? Where do I want to be in 5 years, 10 years, 100 years? And so on…

During this time of Reflection you will come across great Realizations and Epiphanies. You will experience a new level of Understanding, Insight, Consciousness, and Awareness. The goal of this entire process is to capture these thoughts and preserve them on your LetsReflect profile. Compile your list and read it over and over again. It will always be there to keep you on track and heading in the right direction.

So get lost in thought…It will change your life!

“It’s time to start living the life you’ve imagined” ~Henry James~

“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” ~Albert Einstein~

“At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.” ~Lao Tzu~

#2. Become an Optimist.

This is key. Every negative thought that you replay your mind is like an anchor holding you back. Liberate yourself from the negativity. Inside every setback lies an opportunity! Always find the positive in every situation.

“You can’t direct the wind, but you can adjust your sail” ~unknown~

“What seems to us as bitter trials are often blessings in disguise.” ~Oscar Wilde~

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” ~Thomas Edison~

#3. Set a Goal.

Goals give your life direction and purpose. Without them you’re just drifting through existence. Do something Bold! Set a lofty goal that stretches you outside your comfort zone.

“A goal is a dream with a deadline” ~Napoleon Hill~

“The more you dream, the farther you get.” ~Michael Phelps~

“If you want to be happy, set a goal that commands your thoughts, liberates your energy, and inspires your hopes.” ~Andrew Carnegie~

“Long-range goals keep you from being frustrated by short-term failures.” ~James Cash Penney~

#4. Define who your role models are.

They can be in the flesh, on TV, or even audio books. Model yourself after them. Learn from them. If you don’t, you’ll pick up bad habits from all the wrong people.

“People never improve unless they look to some standard or example higher and better than themselves.” ~Tyrone Edwards~

“The single most important influence in the life of a person is another person … who is worthy of emulation.” ~Paul Shafer~

#5. Be Grateful!

Be grateful for your opportunities. Be grateful for right now! Being grateful invites even better things to come into your life. So what are you grateful for?

“What if you gave someone a gift, and they neglected to thank you for it – would you be likely to give them another? Life is the same way. In order to attract more of the blessings that life has to offer, you must truly appreciate what you already have.” ~Ralph Marston~

#6. Become a life long learner.

You don’t have to be in school to learn new things. Commit to learning something new everyday. Have an open mind. Become a sponge. Grow!

“All the information you need to succeed already exist; the only problem is you’re not exposing yourself to it.” ~Jim Rohn~

“There is no wealth like knowledge, no poverty like ignorance.” ~unknown~

#7. Embrace change!

It’s impossible to reach your full potential if you’re not willing to change. Become dynamic, adaptive, evolving! Realize that change is good…change is exciting!

“One does not discover new lands without losing sight of the shore.” ~unknown~

“An important guideline for effective individual growth is open-mindedness. A willingness and eagerness to consider new information, new viewpoints, new ideas, and new possibilities is essential.” ~F. David~

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the things you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~Mark Twain~

Now, despite what others have said…you are capable of great things! I believe in you. So Get Focused! Get Motivated! …and take advantage of Right Now!
Remember that this is a journey…not a quick fix. The trick is staying positive and surrounding yourself with positive people. Best of luck!
